‘R CMD build’ checks for GNU ‘cp’ rather than assuming Linux has it. (PR#17370 says ‘Alpine Linux’ does not.)
‘nls(`NO [mol/l]` ~ f(t))’ and ‘nls(y ~ a)’ now work. (Partly from PR#17367)
