This blog is updated daily.
A general description is here.
There is more support to explore the system's idea of timezone names. ‘Sys.timezone(location = TRUE)’ tries to give the current system setting (and suceeds at least on Linux, OS X, Solaris and Windows), and ‘OlsonNames()’ lists the names in the system's Olson database.
Platforms with a 64-bit ‘time_t’ type are allowed to handle conversions between the ‘"POSIXct"’ and ‘"POSIXlt"’ classes for date-times outside the 32-bit range (before 1902 or after 2037): the existing workarounds are used on other platforms. (Note that timezone information for post-2037 is speculative at best.)
‘print.table(x, zero.print = ".")’ now also has an effect when ‘x’ is not integer-valued.
