This blog is updated daily.
A general description is here.
The R Mathlib internal function ‘bd0()’, indirectly called from a dozen of probability density and distribution functions such as ‘dpois()’, ‘dbinom()’, ‘dgamma()’, ‘pgamma()’ etc, has been complemented by a more sophisticated, (mostly) more accurate ‘ebd0()’, currently called only by internal ‘dpois_raw()’ improving accuracy for R level ‘dpois()’ and potentially others calling it such as ‘dnbinom()’, ‘dgamma()’ or ‘pgamma()’. (Thanks to Morten Welinder's PR#15628.)
Setting the RNG to ‘"Marsaglia-Multicarry"’ e.g., by ‘RNGkind()’, now warns in more places, thanks to André Gillibert's report and patch in PR#18168.
