‘configure’ issues a warning if no way is found to determine C dependencies, as without this updating a build is unreliable, for example if ‘Rversion.h’ is changed (and it holds the SVN revision). (Seen with macOS SDK 27.2.)
‘E <- evalSource(..., cache = FALSE)’ did not create S4 method tables in ‘E’, so ‘insertSource(E, ...)’ did not trace S4 methods. Thanks to Takeshi Arabiki for the report (PR#15242).
